This is definitely one of the liveliest areas of the city! Then you may take a ride on the historic Euclid Avenue Trolley System. This is a great way to see some of Cleveland’s most iconic landmarks. Next, head to Playhouse Square, where you can catch a Broadway show. Or perhaps you feel like seeing a performance by the world-renowned Cleveland Orchestra. If you still have time and want to do cultural things in Cleveland, explore the many art galleries and museums downtown, including the world-famous Cleveland Museum of Art.
Lake Erie
No trip to Cleveland would be complete without spending some time enjoying the beautiful views of Lake Erie (the smallest of the Great Lakes). Here are a few ways to do just that. When you get there, our idea is to rent a kayak or paddleboard and explore the lake on your own. Or, join a guided tour for a more relaxing experience. You may also take a stroll or bike ride along the lakefront trails and take in the stunning views. In the summer months, cool off with a refreshing swim at one of the many beaches along the lake.
Little Italy
Cleveland’s Little Italy neighborhood is a must-visit for foodies and history buffs alike. Here are just a few of the things you can do in this vibrant neighborhood. Sample some delicious cuisine at one of the many restaurants and cafés. You’ll find everything from authentic Italian dishes to more modern fare. Exploring the neighborhood’s many art galleries, boutiques, and specialty shops is a pleasant must-do.
Garfield in Cleveland
Garfield is one of Cleveland’s most iconic neighborhoods, and it’s definitely worth a visit. Here are just a few of our favorite things to do there. Check out the local shops and restaurants, many of which have been around for decades. You’ll find everything from vintage clothing stores to delicious bakeries. Then, explore the neighborhood’s rich history with a visit to the James A. Garfield National Historic Site. This is where you can learn all about the 20th President of the United States. Spend some time outdoors at one of the many parks and green spaces in Garfield. This is a great place to take a break from exploring the city.
Aquariums in Cleveland
This Ohio city is home to two world-class aquariums, so be sure to add them to your list of things to do! Here’s what you can expect.
The Greater Cleveland Aquarium features over 500 different species of animals, many of which are indigenous to Lake Erie. You’ll also find an interactive stingray petting pool where you can get up close and personal with these amazing creatures. The Cleveland Aquarium is located on in the city’s Flats District. This unique setting offers visitors the chance to see aquatic life from all over the world.
Baseball at Progressive Field
Cleveland is a baseball town, so be sure to catch a game at Progressive Field while you’re in town! Progressive Field is located in downtown Cleveland, so it’s easy to get to no matter where you’re staying. Tickets can be purchased online or at the stadium on the day of the game. Be sure to get there early if you want to snag good seats! There are plenty of food options available inside the stadium, so you won’t go hungry during the game. Or, you can always grab a bite before or after the game at one of the many restaurants and bars located nearby.
