Trollwood Park
Trollwood Park is a good place to start your exploration of Fargo’s parks. The park is located in the center of town and has plenty of picnic tables, playgrounds and walking trails. The park also has a disc golf course, which is open year-round. You can borrow discs from the pro shop at the park entrance for $5 for a day pass or $15 for an annual pass.
Lindenwood Park
Lindenwood Park is another great spot for outdoor activities such as sledding and snowboarding during winter months and hiking during spring, summer and fall months. This park also has a disc golf course that’s open year-round (no discs are available for rent). Golfing is also possible nearby at Fargo Country Club or at Fargo-Moorhead Coutry Club.
Unicorn Park
Unicorn Park is located just north of downtown Fargo on University Drive near North Dakota State University campus. It features several playgrounds, picnic areas and trails throughout the wooded area near the Red River. Red River Zoo
The Red River Zoo is an excellent place for families to visit. It offers many different exhibits that will entertain and educate your kids. The Zoo has been around since 1999 and is located in Fargo, North Dakota. It was named after its location along the Red River. The zoo has over 500 animals on display, including giraffes, rhinos, elephants, lions and tigers. The zoo also offers special events throughout the year, such as their annual Easter Eggstravaganza! If you’re looking for an affordable place to go with kids and fun things to do in Fargo, Thunder Road Amusement Park is a great choice. It offers loads of fun rides including a roller coaster, Ferris wheel and carousel. The park also has a swimming pool, snack bar and arcade area.
Fargo Air Museum
The Fargo Air Museum is home to over 30 aircraft from World War II, as well as many other planes from different eras. There are also several displays that showcase different aspects of aviation history, such as flight simulation and parachute jumping demonstrations.

The Plains Art Museum houses one of the largest collections of art from the Upper Midwest. The museum showcases both permanent exhibits and traveling exhibits. The museum also offers classes and workshops for both adults and children.
Fargo Theatre
The Fargo Theatre was built in 1926 and today it hosts concerts, plays, films and other performances or festivals like the Fargo Comedy Fest. You can see live acts such as comedy or dance shows at this historic venue that has been around since its opening in 1926. Come and explore the cultural art deco spot!
Island Park
Island Park is a great place to spend an afternoon with your family enjoying the variety of activities they offer. There are several playgrounds, picnic areas and restrooms available at this park along with basketball courts and tennis courts available for use free of charge!
Fargo Art Alley
Fargo Art Alley is a unique art project that spans the length of downtown Fargo. The alley is a collection of murals, sculptures and mosaics that will be unveiled in phases as part of the city’s revitalization efforts. Some pieces are already completed, and others are still under construction. The project was started in 2012 by local artists and has been funded by donations from local businesses and private donors. The alley is just one part of the larger Downtown Arts District, which also includes the Fargo Theater, Fargodome and Red River Cultural District.
Roger Maris Museum
Fargo is the largest city in North Dakota and is often referred to as the “Gateway to the West.” This bustling city offers a variety of attractions and things to see. The Roger Maris Museum (Fargo) is located in downtown Fargo and was named after the famous baseball player who grew up in Fargo. Bonanzaville
Bonanzaville is a great place to start your exploration of Fargo and its history. The museum features five buildings full of artifacts from the early days of North Dakota. The museum also has guest speakers who give presentations about their experiences in the Old West.
