Crystal Palace Park, London: History
First opened to the public in 1854, Crystal Palace Park in the London Borough of Bromley, was designed to showcase Joseph Paxton’s Crystal Palace building. The palace was originally built for the Great Exhibition of 1851 in Hyde Park, but was relocated to the park after the exhibition ended. Today, the park is home to a variety of attractions, including the Crystal Palace Dinosaurs, restored Grade I listed buildings, and more.
